After we’re done warming up, he asks me whether he can try singing Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen.

But because I'm a total beginner teacher, I think to myself “Great! That's a tough song, but this guy is a great singer. He can do these exercises flawlessly! I’m sure he can handle it.”

But when he starts singing the song, his voice changes completely!

Notes that he was hitting beautifully a moment ago were now squeaking and cracking in his voice as he sang the song.

What changed?

He was singing an actual song, not just scales.

Growing up, I always loved playing music.

So I went to college, studied advertising, and got my degree.

I struggled to catch up, was under constant stress, and bad bosses didn't make it easier.

Naturally, at the end of three months, they let me go.

I blamed myself for going to college and studying advertising.

It was the worst decision of my life.

During that period, I couldn't sleep at night-tossed and turned and was up watching TV.

My mind was fried, and I wanted to take some time off.

I applied for another internship before setting off on a road trip with good friends.

I remember the night it happened.

We sat around a bonfire, and they asked me to sing.

When I held that guitar in my hand and played my favorite song I realized how much I had missed performing and singing.

What if I could be a world-class singer, I asked myself.

When I returned home after that trip I got an email from an ad agency saying that I was selected for a 3-month internship.

For a minute, I was in a dilemma.

What do I choose?

Get a real job? And be successful?

Or music? "What if it turns out to be a disaster?"

I closed my eyes and ignored the email.

Soon after, I invested in myself, met underground vocal coaches, signed up for workshops, and learned everything there is to know about music.

I now have a successful YouTube channel.

My blog is world-famous.
